Introduction

Proviso AS ("we") are committed to maintaining your trust in us and in how we process your personal data. In this privacy statement, we therefore explain why we collect information about you, how we use this information, and how we take your privacy into account. 

Personal data is information and assessments that can be linked to an identifiable individual. This can be, for example, name and contact information, purchase history or information about interests. 

Use of personal data must comply with the Personal Data Act (Personopplysningsloven). We, as the controller, will ensure that we use personal data about you in accordance with this law.

The following information covers our processing of information in connection with our website. Separate agreements apply if you are logged into our products and we process data on behalf of your company and your participants.

What personal information do we store about you?

Depending on the information you provide to us, how you use our services, and what permissions you grant us, we have the following information about you:

• Information about you: Information you provide when you sign up for our newsletter, download one of our e-books, fill out our contact form, or request a trial account. This information may include your name, email address, phone number, and associated company name.
  
  
• Communications: Information you provide to us when you interact with our CST team, such as emails sent between us.
  
  
• Website Usage Information: Information we receive when you use our website, such as your device type (e.g. mobile or PC), IP address, which pages you visit, and which features you use there.
  
  
• Profiling Information: Information and assumptions we automatically make based on the other information (mentioned above) we have about you, such as your preferences and interests, and which demographic groups you belong to, unless you have objected to this.

What do we use personal data for?

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

1. Website: We use information to adapt our website to the technical equipment you use. We may also use the information to adapt the content of our website to what we think you are interested in.
   
   
2. Customer service: In order to provide service and manage your customer relationship, we store information that you provide and receive if you contact us.
   
   
3. Statistics: We prepare statistics and map market trends in order to improve and further develop our products and services. As far as possible, we do this with anonymous information, without us knowing that the information is specifically linked to you.
   
   
4. Marketing: We use your contact information (e.g. telephone number and email address) to send you our newsletter if you have signed up for it. We may use profiling information to make the recommendations and information as relevant as possible to you, unless you have objected to this.

Who do we share personal information with?

We share personal data with companies that provide technical and administrative services to us, such as IT suppliers. We have agreements with these to ensure your privacy.

In some cases, we may transfer personal data to suppliers in third countries (countries outside the EU/EEA). Such transfers will only take place if the EU Commission has decided that there is an adequate level of protection in the country in question.

We may also share anonymized information with partners for, among other things, market analysis and service development.

How long do we store personal data?

We only store information about you for as long as is necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was collected, or if we are required to store the information. The information will be deleted or anonymized when it is no longer necessary to achieve the purpose. 

For example, we will store your contact information if you sign up for our newsletter. If you later choose to unsubscribe from the newsletter, we will delete your personal information within 30 days.

Your rights

You may have the right to ask us to:

• Provide you with further information about how we process your personal data.
  
  
• Provide you with a copy of the personal data about you.
  
  
• Update your personal data.
  
  
• Delete data that we no longer have a basis for storing.
  
  
• Restrict or stop the processing of your data.
  
  
• Do not carry out automated individual decisions, including profiling.
  
  
• Provide you with information you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or, where technically feasible, ask us to transmit it to another company.
  
  
• Withdraw any consent you have given us.

If you believe that we are processing personal data in violation of the Personal Data Act, you have the right to complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet). Before doing so, we would like you to contact us so that we can answer your questions or clarify any misunderstandings.
